For lawyers and law firms
Lawyers use People’s Court to represent clients in binding arbitration and to name the forum in their clients’ agreements. Your client appoints you for each case, you work from your own account, and fees are charged per case.
Represent a client in a case
A party may appear through counsel where applicable law permits (Rule 3.4). You need your own verified People’s Court account. Your client opens or answers the case from their own account, then invites you from the case page and marks you as their lawyer. Once you accept, your account can:
- Review the case Record
- Receive case notices
- File submissions
- Send procedural messages
- File or answer a post-Award request
- File an appeal
- Answer an appeal
Submissions are the evidence, argument and rebuttal filed in each open phase. You can also pay an appeal fee from your account. One account can represent clients in many cases, and My cases lists each matter.
Your client keeps the decisions that bind them
- Opening the case and paying the filing fee
- Accepting the arbitration terms and procedure
- Filing the Answer
- Confirming the Record
- Settling, withdrawing a claim, waiving the appeal, or directing funds
An unaccepted invitation lapses after 14 days, or sooner at your client’s next deadline, but never less than 48 hours after it is sent.
Fees per case
- AI-only: 5.67% of the amount in dispute, $1.67 minimum - $56.70 on a $1,000 claim
- AI-assisted human: $310.00 plus 5.67% of the amount in dispute - $366.70 on a $1,000 claim
No subscription, seat license or hourly arbitrator charge. The fee is disclosed before filing and never depends on who wins. All fees
